"Irregardless, I Could Care Less" and Other Common Grammatical Errors
July 10, 2014
In our June 18, 2014 blog post we wrote about the increasing practice of grammar discrimination in professional and social settings. We received a lot of feedback about that post and several readers even admitted that you were guilty of discriminating based on grammar. Grammar can be a tricky thing. Although most of us were taught grammar in "grammar school," we often speak the way that people around us speak. Unfortunately, the grammar that we use with family and friends may not be suitable for the business/professional world.
At Griffin Speech Consulting, we discovered that people are often unaware that they are making the types of grammatical errors listed above because no one tells them or if people are aware that they are making grammatical errors, they do not know how to improve their grammar. As a part of our communication coaching services, we provide customized constructive feedback and offer tricks and tips that were not taught in school that will help you avoid making grammatical mistakes once and for all!
