Your voice is uniquely you, so when you experience undesired changes to your voice, it can be troubling. If your voice is too weak, breathy, rough, nasal, quiet, etc., there could be a medical reason you are experiencing these changes. The first step in addressing your voice, is to have an evaluation that considers the multitude of factors that could be affecting your voice.
If you have not yet visited an Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor (otolaryngologist) to check on the health of your vocal folds, the voice therapist will likely recommend that you see one before beginning therapy.
Once the nature of the issue is determined, therapy from a certified speech-language pathologist (SLP) can begin helping you reclaim your vocal signature!
